Two pupils from Bromsgrove School have been honoured by a major scientific organisation for their work in Physics.Bromsgrove School

Vladyslav Kolesnyk and Alexander Stepanov, both former pupils, developed a method of measuring the density of air with a rotating paddle whilst studying at Bromsgrove School.

Their method and findings will be published by the Institute of Physics later this year.

Vladyslav and Alexander are the most recent in a long line of students from Bromsgrove School to have their work recognised by the international physics community.

Chi Fan Leung and Stella Tsui, now studying at Cambridge University and Imperial College respectively, also had work published last year in the area of physics and engineering.

Dr Michael Thompson, Director of the International Baccalaureate at the School, who supervised this and other similar projects, said: “It is indicative of the quality and work ethic of students at this School that they are producing innovative and original work so early in their academic career.”
