International School of Creative Arts welcomes Jimmy Choo

Students at the International School of Creative Arts (ISCA) recently held their annual exhibition and graduation event on 27 June. Professor Datuk Jimmy Choo OBE arrived in the Buckinghamshire countryside in glorious sunshine to present the student graduation certificates and annual awards.

Jimmy Choo with studentsISCA is a unique post 16 boarding school offering students with ability in the creative arts the opportunity to progress directly to UAL degree courses through intensive one or two year courses which include both arts A levels and an Art Foundation course delivered in association with Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design (CSM). This year all 40 students applying were offered places at UAL on undergraduate courses and the exhibition was testimony to the high standard of work the students achieve.

As Honorary President of ISCA, Jimmy Choo visits the school during the year to motivate and inspire the international students who come from all over the world.

Boarding House elevationOn his last visit he particularly admired a piece of student work and after the ceremony the same student presented him with an illustration which she had produced especially for Professor Choo as a token of ISCA’s appreciation and Professor Choo offered her the opportunity to work in Malaysia during the summer break.

Principal Penny Horsefield said, “The annual exhibition and graduation is always a time for celebration and it is wonderful that Jimmy could be with us today to congratulate the students and to see so many parents, visitors and students visiting the exhibition, talking to staff and governors and enjoying the day.
