Harrogate’s Ashville College has added two more online open events to this year’s digital calendar.

The first, beginning at 9.30am on Wednesday, November 11, is the Reception Class Virtual Open Day, and the second, on Thursday, November 19, is the Sixth Form Virtual Open Evening.

For those parents about to choose their child’s all-important first school, the Reception Class Virtual Open Day is the perfect way to discover how Ashville can deliver the best start to their learning journey.

There are two live question and answer (Q&A) sessions at 10am and 6pm, which will give prospective parents an opportunity to hear from teachers and ask questions.

Visitors will also be able to access a wide variety of online resources throughout the day, at a time that suits them, to gain an insight into what is on offer at Ashville.

This includes video interviews with teachers and current pupils, a virtual 360 tour of the campus and facilities, and  a live web chat service with Ashville’s Admissions team, who will be able to answer any questions about enrolling a child at Ashville.

Six days later, Ashville will be throwing open its virtual classroom doors to those exploring future Sixth Form options. During the event, prospective parents and pupils will get a flavour of the Ashville College Sixth Form experience.

The live Q&A session panel will be led by the Head of Sixth Form, who will be joined by the Deputy Head: Academic, and Sixth Form pupils. Those attending will be able to talk to specialist A Level subject teachers via the live chat, and can watch a range of videos interviews.

Again, there will be an opportunity to take a 360 tour of Ashville’s excellent facilities and explore the impressive campus.

Ashville College Acting Head Elspeth Fisher said: “Following on from the success of last month’s full College virtual open day, we have decided to showcase individual areas of Ashville, beginning with our Reception Class and Sixth Form Centre.

“These special online events give prospective parents, grandparents and pupils themselves an opportunity to find out why so many people choose an Ashville education.”
