Current Upper Sixth Form pupils at Kelly College have been reaping the rewards of the hard work they have put Kelly College Sixth formers universitiesinto their university applications, with many already receiving offers from their chosen courses.

These include offers to read Engineering at Lincoln College, Oxford; Imperial College London, Southampton and Loughborough. Offers to read Law have also been made from King’s College London, Cardiff and Exeter.

The diversity of talent emerging from this year’s Upper Sixth Form is also clearly evident. Other offers have included Exploration and Resource Geology, Mathematics and Economics, Politics and International Relations and Classical Civilisation.

These offers follow an impressive year in which Kelly College pupils secured a 100% A Level Pass Rate for the third consecutive year and places at top universities including the University of Cambridge, the University of Durham and King’s College London.

Lower down the Sixth Form, Kelleians have also been focusing on their future education. Earlier in the Lent Term, Lower Sixth Form pupils and their parents were introduced to the process of making university applications through UCAS during a lecture presented by Sue Garrett from the University of Bath school liaison team.

The University of Bath has recently been ranked the 3rd best university in the country by The Sunday Times newspaper, meaning only the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge rank higher.

Sue was able to provide pupils and parents with an insight into what admissions tutors are looking for on university applications and gave valuable details as to what could be included on the all-important personal statement. Parents and pupils were also introduced to the intricacies of student finance.

This continued academic and pastoral care is ensuring that Kelly College continues its strong and successful commitment to further education at some of the country’s top universities.
