The second match of the day saw Kent College on form with a fine 2-0 win over Leeds Grammar School. Having won and drawn the next battle was a must win situation, facing Millfield School (Somerset) who had won both of their games and looked like well drilled opposition. Despite going one nil down very early in the first half, Kent College responded well to eventually win the game 2-1. With one game to go the team now sat in top position by one point with Danes Hill (Surrey) to play.
Kent College coped well with the physical nature of the game and won the match and the group finishing on 10 points. This was more points than any team in the competition.
A straight cross over with the winners from the other group meant that Kent College played Bromsgrove School from the Midlands in the final. Kent College dominated from start to finish, with five minutes to go the opposition took off their goalie in an attempt to create scoring opportunities but it was too little too late! Kent College won the game 1-0.
The day saw excellent and consistent performances from all the team, conceding only one goal in the whole day there was no doubt that the team deserved the title!
