Kent College’s Open Day for 2019 was one to remember this year, with a trio of England’s greatest sporting heroes attending for a morning of coaching followed by an exclusive interview for all to attend.

After a morning of coaching preparing the students for the upcoming 19/20 season, prospective and current students, parents (and some lucky staff) gathered in School’s newly opened Great Hall for the interview.

Rob Key, England’s most prolific batsmen of all time and current Sky Sports commentator, interviewed Joe Denly (E`ngland Cricketer) and gold medal Olympian Hollie-Pearne-Webb (England Hockey Captain).

The trio discussed Denly’s time in the 2019 Ashes and Hollie’s experience of the 2016 Olympic Games. The stars discussed success through adversity and the value of determination, strength and the mindset of never giving up in the pursuit of success. This was followed by a Q&A with the audience which posed questions regarding the effects of social media on the sports star’s ability to focus and achieve.
