Kent College Pupils Achieve Trampolining Success

Kent College Pembury TrampoliningThree Kent College girls competing were crowned titleholders in the Novice Team category at the finals of the Kent Schools Trampolining Championships, on Thursday 19th March.

The same girls competed in the Novice Individual category with Isobel, Year 9, coming first in the event. Sophie, Year 9, took home second place, and Vixi, Year 9, was placed fourth. Meanwhile, in the Intermediate Competition, Flavia, Year 7, came second.

The independent girls’ school began offering trampolining as an extra-curricular activity over 10 years ago, with girls receiving coaching from Miss Tidey their specialist coach.

Kent College’s Trampoline coach, Miss Sarah Tidey, commented:  “Although I have run trampoline lessons for Kent College for a number of years, it was only Easter last year that I started to look at entering the Kent schools competition.  I am very proud of the girls’ achievements in such a short period of time.  Well done KC.”

Kent College are proud of their thriving enrichment syllabus, which offers girls varied, stimulating and fun experiences – outside the classroom as well as inside. There is much more than the statutory academic curriculum on offer for Kent College girls with a programme of community events, the Kent College Academies, as well as an extensive extra-curricular programme provided throughout the week. The school is a hub of activity after lessons end with a varied and exciting programme of over 100 extra-curricular activities.
