The pupils have recently been creating paper plates as part of the IF Campaign which is seeking to raise the issue of global hunger before the meeting of the G8 summit of world leaders in June.

The plates expressed the pupil wishes for a more fair, just world. Across the country 30,000 plates have been created and will be taken to the G8 meeting in Northern Ireland.

'It was a fantastic opportunity fot the pupils to have their voices heard and to get a once in a lifetime opportunity to go into 10, Downing Street and meet the Prime Minster', said Kent College, School Chaplain, Revd.

Dr. Paul Glass. 'It is a tremendous honour for two schools from Canterbury to have been chosen to take part in this event when nationwide only 23 schools were invited.

We are fortunate that our work with MRDF (Methodist Relief and Development Fund) resulted in us being approached. Kent CollegeThe pupils feel very strongly about issues of fairness and justice.'
