picKing Edward’s Under 12 Futsal team is celebrating sporting success as runners up in the Surrey FA County Tournament this week.
Their achievement on the field means they will now progress to the Final.

The Tournament is open to all clubs and schools across Surrey, and included a Chelsea FC team.
King Edward’s won four games and drew one to comfortably win their Group in a Tournament that saw some of the strongest sides in the County come together.

In a very tight match, which could have gone either way, King Edward’s narrowly lost 2-1 to London Elite, a specialist Futsal Academy with players from across London. Following the final the team were awarded with their runners-up medals.

Commenting after the match, Dan Abraham, Director of Football at King Edward’s Witley said, “We are delighted to continue our recent success in Futsal. For the past two years a team from King Edward’s has won the Surrey FA County Champions and we are delighted to see our youngest age group performing so well at the first tournament this year.”

One of the King Edward’s U12 Futsal team, James Howell, recently renewed his contract with Portsmouth FC’s Football Academy. James is one of just four of the original 100 who trialed and was scouted at age seven.
