King Edward’s Witley – a local leading independent boarding and day school for girls and boys aged 11-18 – is offering an academic scholarship (by competitive entry) to a Sixth Form day pupil.  The successful applicant will study for the prestigious two year International Baccalaureate Diploma with their tuition fees waived.

The scholarship, which is worth circa £40,000, will be effective from September 2015 and any applicants wishing to be considered must be highly academic and be predicted to achieve straight A* and A grades at GCSE.

The School enjoys an excellent track record in  the successful delivery of the IB (pupils in 2014 achieved an outstanding 100% pass rate) and King Edward’s Witley has been rated as one of the top 10 all-IB Sixth Forms in the country.

Commenting on the scholarship, Headmaster John Attwater says “This scholarship is entirely in keeping with King Edward’s founding principle of welcoming pupils from a diverse range of social, cultural and educational backgrounds.   It represents an excellent opportunity for us to promote the IB and offer an academically gifted local pupil the chance to access an IB education at an independent school.”

Anyone wishing to apply for the Scholarship should contact Justin Benson, Director of Admissions, in the first instance on admissions@kesw.org.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to King Edward’s for a day of testing and interviews on 31 January 2015.
