Kingswood School’s U18 Sevens team won the Wycliffe College Sevens Tournament last Thursday 2 March 2017.
The strong U18 team won their group beating Sir Thomas Rich’s, KLB, Wycliffe and QEH Bristol with some strong tackling and accurate passing. In the final, Kingswood overcame local rivals King Edwards Bath 39:12 to lift the trophy for the second time in three years.
This is Kingswood’s 14th Sevens title in the past six seasons and there is no doubt that the Kingswood boys are showing real talent and determination.
Said Kingswood Director of Sport, Tim Reeman: “This is an outstanding performance from a talented group in their first tournament of the season. They have worked exceptionally hard and benefitted from the quality coaching on offer here. They have been an inspiration to our younger players who are looking to continue the successes on the Sevens circuit in future years.”
