Lancing College Chapel has recently hosted two BBC Radio broadcasts.
The venue welcomed BBC Radio 4’s Sunday Worship programme last month and last week’s BBC Radio 3 Choral Evensong broadcast. Sunday Worship was led by celebrant Fr Richard Harrison, the college’s chaplain, with the choir of Lancing College Chapel singing a setting of the Mass by Neil Cox, the college’s director of chapel music. Rafi Bellamy Plaice, BBC Radio 2 Young Chorister of the Year 2017, performed a solo piece, as did former pupil Jack Redman, an organ scholar at the college until 2016.
Dominic Oliver, headmaster at Lancing, commented: “It is a huge privilege to welcome BBC Radio 3 and 4 to Lancing College Chapel. The chapel is a magnificent setting from which to broadcast these world-renowned programmes.”
