HENRY STEELE has been offered a place to study the challenging subject of Mathematics at Oxford. He has received his entire education at Lancing, as he was formerly a pupil at Lancing College Prep Hove. An increasing number of parents are choosing Lancing for both the preparatory school (in Worthing or Hove) and senior school for their children, to give them a seamless education.

Lancing College fosters a love of reading, writing and critical thinking. Three highly gifted English Literature students have offers from Oxford and Cambridge.  MAUDIE COOPER, from Horsham, has an offer to study English Language and Literature at Hertford College Oxford; while CASSANDRA NEATHERCOAT from Pulborough and CYNTHIA PENG have secured offers to study English at Cambridge, Cassandra at Homerton College and Cynthia at Girton College.

NANCY S’s offer to study Biomedical Sciences at St Catherine’s College Oxford reflects the school’s outstanding Science department, in which Lancing’s girls excel.

Head Master Dominic Oliver congratulated the students on their success: “2017 shows continued development in our Oxbridge numbers and our students should be extremely proud of their recent success. These places are extremely sought after and a lot of hard work goes into the preparation both by the candidates and our expert staff. Fundamental to their success and an integral part of our Sixth Form is a commitment to an education which enriches and challenges students far beyond the classroom. From the debating chamber and concert performances to discussions with leading thinkers, Lancing’s intellectual and cultural life stimulates and inspires at every opportunity. Lancing students are, above all, encouraged to think critically for themselves.”
