Llandovery College GCSE resultsPupils at Llandovery College are today celebrating GCSE success with another 100 per cent pass rate and a new record of A and A* success.

This year there was an increase in the number of pupils achieving A*-C grades (85%) while the school’s top three pupils scooped an impressive haul of 30 A*s and As between them.

Innez Dale-Jones from Bronwydd, topped the College leader board with 7A*s, and 4As. She was closely followed by Jenna Medhi from Llangadog with 7A*s, and 3As. Other top scorers were Jordi den Hartog from Newcastle Emlyn with 4A*s, 5As and 2Bs and Colin Markham from Gwynedd with 3A*s, 5As and 3Bs.

Llandovery College Headmaster, Guy Ayling, said he was proud of the achievements of his pupils. “Our pupils have once again shown what hard work and dedication can achieve at GCSE level. Top results are brought about by a combination of hard-working committed pupils and first-rate teaching and we are proud each and every one of them.

Llandovery College pupils achieved 36% A*-A; 60.8% A*-B and 84.8% A*-C.
