Stuart Fox Macmillan 72 hole golf challengeIn 2015, Stuart Fox took part in Macmillan Cancer Support’s Longest Day Golf Challenge – a charity golf event with a difference – no corporate niceties or sedate pace for eighteen holes (with a break after nine holes for a spot of lunch!) rather no less than seventy-two holes in a single day!

On Sunday 26th June, at Rushden Golf Club, starting at 4.45am Stuart is doing it again! Stuart, his family and friends are attempting to play four rounds of golf, that’s seventy two holes, over 350 shots each in a single day.

For eight years, Stuart has managed the Oundle School Sports and Uniform Shop on behalf of Schoolblazer Ltd, the School’s uniform and sportswear supplier.

Stuart commented, “Last year, we arrived at Rushden Golf Club at 4.20am, teed off at 4.45am and played through until almost 9.00pm with a twenty minute break for lunch after the first thirty six holes… the third round was by far the hardest, getting going again after stopping took a few holes!

The aim of this golf day is to raise awareness and more importantly money for the work that Macmillan Cancer Support does. Almost everyone will know of someone who has recovered from or has lost the fight with cancer; Macmillan help to support people who have cancer and their families.
