The history of the rugby match itself is chronicled as the oldest in Scotland. Loretto School and Fettes College, both giants of the Scottish Schools rugby world, have been facing themselves across the pitch for over 150 years. These days rivalry between the two schools is more ‘friendly’ than ‘the old enemy’.
At stake is pride and the The ‘FetLor Quaich', which is presented to the winning school following the annual Rugby match between Loretto School and Fettes College.
Loretto got their campaign off to a spectacular start, proving too strong for Fettes.
For the second year running, Loretto superior rugby skills shone through, and the home side ran out 30-10 winners.
