Loretto Golf Academy reaffirms its position as one of Europe’s leading Schools Golf Academies

Loretto Golf ChampionsLoretto Golf Academy, from Musselburgh, Edinburgh, retained the Independent Schools Golf Association Home Internationals trophy for the second year running beating teams representing England, Wales and Ireland, reaffirming their position as one of Europe’s leading Schools Golf Academy. The Independent Schools Golf Association Home Internationals competition was the first major golf event of the season for Loretto Golf Academy and a chance to put into action their training over the winter months.

The event was held over two days with 4 players from each school representing their country. The format is medal play over 2 rounds of golf (best 3 scores from the 4 players to count on each day).
This year's event was held at the Rolls of Monmouth on 27 March and the Celtic Manor on the 28 March. Other teams including Loretto, were Millfield (England), Monmouth School (Wales) and Coleraine Academical (Ireland).

Rick Valentine, Director of Golf at Loretto School said, “I am delighted with this achievement. The Loretto players rose to the occasion against formidable opposition and we now look forward to the rest of the season which promises to be highly successful.”
