Loretto pupils Scotland debut

Loretto RugbyThe proud Rugby traditions at one of Scotland’s oldest independent schools have been upheld this week with a duo of talented young rugby players catching the eye of a panel of selectors.

The pair, from Loretto School in Edinburgh, have been picked to represent the Scottish Preparatory Schools’ Rugby XV after impressing scouts in recent outings.

Loretto’s representatives are–Finlay Broomfield (13 from Newtongrange) and Chris Edwardson (12 from Humbie).

Their debut match will be against the Scottish Barbarians XV on Sunday, 25th November in Colinton, Edinburgh.

Jonathan Hewat, Director of External Affairs at Loretto commented; “We do congratulate these two boys. It is a great honour for them to be representing the Scottish Preparatory Schools’ XV and an added accolade for Finlay who has been selected as the captain of the team.”
