On Sunday 3rd March the U6 Geographers, Miss Hart and Mrs McMillan set off on a Geographical Mystery tour of Loretto School geographers Edinburgh and East Lothian.

Having filled up on brunch we headed to our first stop, Mary King’s Close, to learn about living conditions in Edinburgh in the past.

We then drove down the Mound (the tail of a crag an tail feature) formed by glacial deposition.

We headed up to Salisbury Crags to admire the volcanic sill and then to Leith to look at Urban Regeneration and renewal.

With a quick stop for lunch at Gullane Fry we continued out to Yellowcraigs beach to look at the dune succession and spend time in the playpark! Hopefully a good day was had by all.
