LORETTO SCHOOL GOLFER KEEPS SCOTLAND’S DREAMS ALIVE AT EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

With the hype and expectation rising for this year’s Open Championship, 14 year old Loretto School pupil, Brodie Loretto SchoolGood from Dunbar kept Scotland’s hopes alive at the U.S. Kid’s Golf European Championship staged at Luffness New Golf Club.

In a competition which attracts the very finest golfing talent from across Europe, Brodie secured 3rd place in the Under 14 section of the competition with a score of -1, with rounds of 72, 70 and 73, just two strokes behind the winner.

Other members of Loretto School’s Golf Academy took part in the competition were;

Under 14
Cameron Blair – 9th
Ronan Higgins – 16th

Under 18
John-Paul Ralph – 9th

Jonathan Hewat, Director of External Affairs at Loretto School, said, “We do congratulate all the players from Loretto, but in particular, Brodie. His performance was a real feather in his cap and I am delighted that he was the leading Scottish golfer in his age group.”
