Prior to the Maasai performance, pupils were given the chance to view the David Gentleman Art exhibition in the school’s gallery.

Known as the Osiligi Warriors, the purpose of the troupe is to benefit their community and the families in their village of Kisamis, situated approximately 30 miles southwest of Nairobi.

Funds are raised by a series of UK tours during which the troupe perform their tribal song and dance and spread the word about their culture.

Following the performance to primary schools, the Osiligi warriors also took part in the Bedales senior school ‘Jaw’ assembly and students were given the opportunity to find out more about the Maasai and their heritage.
