Dean Close Preparatory School pupils were treated to a magical day last week when they were visited by a professional magician.

Richard Parson, a member of the Magic Circle, spent the day impressing pupils with sleight of hand tricks including turning red balls into lemons and limes, bending cutlery and making cards disappear.

“My favourite trick was the materialising of the lemon and the lime! How he managed to create them from nowhere was amazing”, said Alicia, aged 10.

Within the workshops, Craig gave the pupils important tips on concentration, paying attention to detail and the practising of a hobby.

He performed for both parents and pupils later in the afternoon and left everybody stunned, capping off a day that gave a fascinating insight into the life of a professional entertainer.
