Malvern St James pupils win Enterprise AwardA Young Enterprise company from Malvern St James is celebrating winning the ‘Enterprise Award for Excellence in all Areas of Company Activity’ at the West Midlands Young Enterprise Final on June 12.

Held in the Great Hall of Birmingham University, finalists attended from across the West Midlands, with their businesses covering a very broad spectrum of products and services. MSJ’s ‘Royal Flush’ is now ranked as one of the top 20 of the 2,300 Young Enterprise companies operating in the UK in 2012.

‘Royal Flush’ produced a children's book which tells the story of a teddy and his international travels, informing the children about different cultures and giving them different handicrafts to try from each culture. The book was written, illustrated and produced entirely by the students.

Mrs Jennifer Chuck, who heads up Young Enterprise at Malvern St James, was awarded ‘Link Teacher of the Year’ for the West Midlands.

Mrs Chuck said “I am honoured to win this award as it recognises the quality of the Young Enterprise programme at Malvern St James. It also highlights the hard work, commitment and teamwork of all the Young Enterprise students, staff and advisers”.
