Malvern St James WinnersTwo Young Enterprise groups from Malvern St James, ‘Royal Flush’ and ‘Hide and Seek’, have triumphed at the South Worcestershire finals held here last week.

Eight teams presented to the judges during the evening. Despite fierce competition from some very strong teams, MSJ’s ‘Royal Flush’, who developed a book designed to inform children about different cultures, were announced as overall winners and will go through to the Herefordshire & Worcestershire final on May 2nd.

Plus for the second consecutive year a team from MSJ received the award for ‘Best Presentation’. The winners, ‘Hide and Seek’, have launched a fitness programme aimed to work around the hectic lifestyles most of us live today. Available on DVD, and created with the help of MSJ’s Fitness Trainer Simon Vaughan, the DVD uses home equipment to help achieve fitness goals.

Run as part of the Malvern St James Sixth Form Enrichment programme, Young Enterprise is a nation-wide scheme.

Mrs Woodhouse, Headmistress, said: “We were delighted to host the south Worcestershire finals and thrilled that two of our teams were so successful. Young Enterprise provides girls with the opportunity to work with business leaders and gain critical hands-on experience of setting up a company. The commercial experience proves invaluable during the university interview process and inspirational for our budding entrepreneurs. We look forward to the next stage!”
