Medals for Jamila in African swimming competition

swimming_plymouth_collegeCompeting in Botswana against eleven African nations, Jamila, 14, triumphed in both the 50 and 100 breast, and came second in the 50 fly, 50 free and 100 free.

The Year 9 pupil, who boards at the school, previously represented her country in the Commonwealth Games in Delhi in October and the World Swimming Championships (25m) in Dubai in December.

In other swimming news, Plymouth College is the top swimming school in the country for the fourth year running after winning six of twelve national titles in the English Schools’ Swimming Association Relay Championships.
