Seven pupils from Millfield Prep School have been selected for England Lambs Southwest rugby teams, following the Independent Schools RFC’s Southwest Festival hosted by Blundell’s School this weekend.
Scott Reed, Harvey Morland and Will Smeed were all selected for the under-11 squad after their performances at the festival, with fellow Year 6 Kim Hughes also chosen.
Forwards Henry Lunn, Jack Burnett have been picked for the U13 team, with Oran McNulty on the reserves.
The Millfield Prep players will play two games for the Southwest in December and January, and then go forward to the National Festival at Rugby School in February, where teams from the North, South East, and Midlands will all compete.
The Independent Schools Barbarians will be selected from those playing and will go on tour to France in April 2013.
