We commence our Centenary year celebrations with news of the highest marks ever at
A Level.
Amid government moves to create more rigorous A Level standards, it was believed that this year’s top grades would inevitably drop. So we are absolutely delighted to be able to report that our A Levels have exceeded expectation with 30% of our grades at A* – the highest top marks we have ever recorded in the school’s 100 year history.
The students achieved 100% pass rate, with 62% of grades at A*- A, 13% of girls achieving 3 or more straight A*s and 54% of girls achieving A* and A grades. Ninety four percent of all grades were at A*-C .
