Mr Gove promised he would introduce more stringent marking at GCSE, making the elite A* grades harder to achieve, yet Moreton Hall is delighted to announce that it has bucked the national trend, achieving a stunning 30% of A* grades and 65% A*-A.

We could not be more pleased with these results in the light of the government’s promise to make the top grades harder to attain”, comments Jonathan Forster, Principal.

The overall results were once again very strong across the board, but we are particularly pleased that 25% of our girls achieved straight A*-A, and that a significant number of girls achieved full marks in their various modules. A special mention must go to Alice Smith who achieved eleven A*s. These results further cement Moreton’s position as one of the UK’s leading schools with a justified reputation for academic excellence.
