A business venture run by a local school has secured its first external sales outlet at Moreton Park Garden Centre, following an impressive pitch to the store’s gift buyer.
The young business women from Moreton Hall school are all part of Moreton Enterprises, a set of business which have been running within the school for the past 25 years. As one of their projects this year they have produced framed pictures from school murals depicting a range of English proverbs and sayings such as ‘Needle in a haystack’ and ‘The early bird catches the worm’. A set of fine china mugs featuring the same artwork makes up the range.
Alice Smith (17), MD of Moreton Enterprises Development Team, comments: ‘Obtaining our first retail listing for this beautiful range of gift ware is great. We have already made a lot of sales within the school community but this shows us that there is real interest beyond the school gates.’
