Moreton Hall Gcse Results 2014
Proud students!

In contrast to the gloomy national predictions for lower grades at GCSE in 2014, we are delighted to announce that Moreton Hall is today celebrating one of its best set of results.

Thirty per cent of the grades achieved are A*, and a record 98% of pupils have achieved five or more passes at A*- C grade.  These grades exceed our students’ expectations and significantly exceed the national forecast.  Furthermore, ninety-one percent of the grades awarded for separate sciences were A*-A grades.  This is a stunning result and augers very well for the future of women in Science, a major focus of the school as we enter our second century.

EBacc (The English Baccalaureate) is a measure increasingly used in assessing GCSE performance, identifying the percentage of students who achieve an A*- C grade in all of the core academic subjects of English, maths, a science, a language, history/geography.  An impressive ninety per cent of Moreton students have achieved the EBacc this year.

Congratulations to all of the girls for their hard work.
