Shropshire starred at the Rathbones National Schools’ Lacrosse Championships of 2015 held at Surrey Sports Park on February 27th to March 3rd with two of Moreton Hall’s teams finishing in the top eight schools in the UK.
“We are going from strength to strength with our lacrosse” comments Head of Sport, Kate Groves. “To have such strong results across the first, second, Under 14 and Under 15 teams is very exciting. It has re- enforced our name and reputation as the strongest Lacrosse playing school in the North of England.”
In a competition of 56 schools, Moreton beat many larger national rivals during the four days of the Nationals. The first and Under 14s finished in the top 8 schools nationally. The seconds and Under 15s finished in the top 16 schools.
Coach and former Welsh international player, Storm Trentham concluded: “… what a truly amazing two days with your U19 Team at Nationals. As per last year, a couple of those games on Saturday were really some of my favourite games I’ve been associated with out of all the teams I’ve helped coach over the last 10 years.”
