Friday saw the launch of Moreton Hall's inaugural Science Festival. After some impressive explosions with Mr Tom Corbett in the Chemistry labs, we all gathered to witness the skills of BBC's Steve Mould, a comedian, physicist and regular festival performer. Steve wowed the audience with his fascinating and exciting presentation on the chemistry of polymers. Co-organiser, Polly Greenhalgh, comments: "It was great to see the girls actively involved in Science outside of lessons, and thoroughly enjoying it. Steve was such a natural and enthusiastic presenter that it was impossible not to be entertained." The action packed week of Science challenges and activities promises to reach an exciting conclusion on Friday with Channel 4's, Inside Nature's Giants presenter, Simon Watt.
