Moreton Hall’s U15 Cricket Team today won the Lady Taverners Indoor Regional Cricket Finals at Fenton Manor, Stoke. They won all five games and now progress as Midlands Champions to the National Finals.
Matches were played against Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Nottinghamshire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire.
Evelyn Jones, England Cricket Academy player was coaching the girls and said: “The girls all played fantastically and everyone played a key role in winning every game, a fantastic day!”
She awarded the best fielder award to Tallulah Blackham, the best bowler to Freya Beasley, best batsman to Milly Home and best cricket spirit award went to Molly Bennett. The girls will now be going to the national finals at Lords on 13 May 2015.
