Two Moreton Hall students walked away from the Business and Professional Women’s Public Speaking Competition this week with awards, confirming their outstanding abilities in the field.
The competition saw 7 teams from schools in the area compete. “It was a competition of very high standard”, explains Head of Spoken English, Merriel Halsall-Williams.
“We are delighted with the result as it means our team now goes through to the North West Finals in February.”
Roisin Ni Culchain was awarded ‘Best Chairman’ and Amelia Adams-Davies ‘Best Vote of Thanks’. “It was a great experience to improve my confidence in public speaking as well as meeting people from different schools”, said Amelia.
