Moreton Hall SchoolDurham University's highly respected MidYIS (Middle Years Information System) data has ranked Moreton Hall School, north of Oswestry, number one out of over 300 independent schools surveyed in the UK.

The system assesses students at entry into senior school (at Year 7 or 9) and predicts what each child will achieve at GCSE (Year 11). As those children then take their GCSEs, their results are compared with their predictions and a 'Value Added' score is given. This score demonstrates how much better or worse each child actually performed versus the prediction.

Jonathan Forster, Headmaster of Moreton Hall, explains: 'We aim to treat each and every child on their own merits and ensure that they achieve above and beyond expectations. So we are very pleased with these Value Added results as they show that we are achieving that goal.'
