Moreton_Hall_Scotttish_LacrosseMoreton Hall returned victorious from their trip across the Scottish border to defend last year’s title at the Rathbones Scottish Open School’s Lacrosse Tournament. The team competed exceptionally well against squads from all over Scotland and England and were crowned champions after a tensely fought final match against St Albans High School.

The team won all their matches:

V Queens Margaret’s won 7 – 2

V Sedbergh won 5-1

V Glenalmond won 5-2

V St George’s won 8-1

Semi-final V Harrogate Ladies’ College won 7-0

Final v St Albans High School won 5-4

Head of Sport, Kate Groves, writes: ‘We are very proud of the Moreton team players after what was a close and tense final. The tournament as a whole was of an even higher standard than last year and it was great to be able to travel to Scotland and compete against teams whom we do not normally play. The Senior Teams have been working hard this season and it is very rewarding for them to win this prestigious tournament. We are now looking forward to the National Schools Lacrosse tournament in Guildford in March.’
