The Moreton lacrosse teams have continued the new season with stunning wins for both the first and second teams at the prestigious Welsh Rally.
The first team had an outstanding day as the only participating team not to lose any matches throughout the tournament, securing their position as the Welsh Rally Champions for 2013.
Jenny Sanderson, Head of Lacrosse at Moreton Hall says: ‘This is an exceptional result against such high quality opposition including Cheltenham Ladies’ College, Malvern St James, Westonbirt, St Mary’s Calne and Haberdashers’ Monmouth. We are delighted.’
Moreton’s second team were crowned winners for the sixth time in the last seven years. Their wins were convincing, conceding only one goal in the whole tournament.
In the U15 tournament, Moreton finished as runners up to St Mary’s Calne, having beaten Cheltenham Ladies’ College, Westonbirt and Haberdashers’ Monmouth and drawing with Malvern St James.
