music outside sunnyOn the last Saturday of every academic year at Leighton Park School, everyone from across the school community gathers in the open air of the beautiful park for ‘Music for a Summer’s Evening’. It provides an opportunity for the musicians from the department to perform to their family and friends in a relaxed atmosphere, whilst everybody enjoys the setting of The Park.

This year’s 'Music for a Summer's Evening' was held on Saturday 29th June. It is very much a community event, so as always, whole families came along to enjoy an evening of wonderful and varied music. From well-known classical music, rock and pop to original songs and compositions, the evening showcases the diversity and enthusiasm of the students.

For some of the students, it is their last performance at the school before they move onto university, including Upper Sixth student Alex Hall who will begin studying composition at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in September.
