Northbourne Park Prep SchoolNorthbourne Park School celebrated its best ever 13+ Common Entrance exams results this summer and again achieving 100% pass rate. One of its pupils, Raphael Jackson, also gained an A* in the challenging IGCSE French examination.

This unusual achievement for a 13 year old, attests to both his innate linguistic ability and the strength of Northbourne Park Languages Department.

Raphael, who is now a pupil of Wellington College, International, Tianjin, China said : “Northbourne Park is a truly unique and special school. Its language teachings and staff are excellent and they have really helped me reach the level that I am at now. Also, having native French and Spanish speakers in the school means that, not only do you speak with them in their own language but you also become friends. Although I'm going to miss NPS I am definitely going to continue the friendships I made there."

Edward Balfour, Headmaster comments: “As always, we are extremely proud of all our pupils. The successes attest to the commitment and dedication of the pupils, parents and staff across all areas of school life. We wish all the pupils well in their new journey of school life and will continue to watch their progress with great interest.”

Northbourne Park is renowned for its bilingual programme, which teaches children French from the age of 3, just as they are acquiring their own nascent language skills.

Northbourne Park School opens its doors to bilingual and non-bilingual children and is a centre of excellence for the development of Languages in Kent.

The Language department and the rest of the School, including the Pre-Prep holds an Open Day on Saturday 6th October from 10am-12.30pm and is a chance for future pupils to discover why our educational philosophy is so successful.
