Northbourne Park School recently welcomed over 50 grandparents to its annual Grandparents Day.
Pupils took their grandparents on a tour of the school and introduced them to their teachers, classmates and friends.
Following some light refreshments, grandparents and parents were entertained during the afternoon with a summer concert. Years 3 and 4 sang ‘Arabian Nights’, while Years 5 and 6 gave a rendition of ‘Circle of Life’ from ‘The Lion King’. Senior pupils in Years 7 and 8 gave a ukulele performance and then sang Jeff Buckley’s ‘Hallelujah’, with the Year 6 girls performing ‘Yellow’ by Coldplay.
Sebastian Rees, headmaster, said: “This was a very special afternoon. It is always lovely to catch up with the grandparents and well done to all our talented musicians who performed so wonderfully in the concert.”
