The National Youth Choir of Great Britain has, following regional auditions last month, awarded a place to Oscar 
Balfour of Northbourne Park School.
Oscar sings in the Northbourne Park School choir and has recently seen success in his Grade 5 singing examination.
He says that he is excited by the prospect of developing his singing talent on courses and in concerts in venues including the Royal Albert Hall.
The Head of Music and Choir Leader, Lucy Gleave, herself an ex-pupil of the School, said, ‘Congratulations to Oscar on our second national accolade for Northbourne Park musicians this year.
We now have one Year 6 pupil in the National Children’s Orchestra of Great Britain and a Year 7 pupil in the National Youth Choir of Great Britain. This is the strength of our Musical provision in action!
