On Sunday 30th June, 22 senior children from Northbourne Park School embarked on the annual 14.17 mile Pilgrimage to Canterbury Cathedral.
School Chaplain, Revd Father Philip Clements started the proceedings with a blessing at the school chapel, St Mary the Virgin, Betteshanger, before the children commenced their journey.
The Pilgrimage is very much a personal and spiritual journey, which provides the children the opportunity to reflect on past years at the school before they depart and plan for next year in their new schools.
The Pilgrimage of 14.17 miles took the children several hours, ending at Canterbury Cathedral where they were met by friends, family and staff and had the opportunity to hear the School’s wonderful choir sing Evensong in the Cathedral.
