Northbourne Park School continues it success with 87.5% pass rate of Year 6 pupils reaching the required level for admission to Grammar Schools. Each year their pupils achieve excellent results in these academically selective tests and this year is no exception.
Eight members of Year 6 took the Kent Test for admission through to Kent Grammar schools. Their preparation started in January with dedicated familiarisation sessions in the three areas of Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning and Mathematics. The children worked every fortnight during working weekends on their preparation.
After a summer of practice papers and a mock test, they took the final tests in mid-September.
Seven of the eight pupils either passed the Kent Test outright, or gained places at the Dover Grammar schools.
