Northbourne Park OlympiadThis year, following the London Olympic Games and coinciding with the London Paralympic Games, Northbourne Park’s fourth Olympiad held particular significance.

Every year Northbourne Park School helps to integrate all of its boys and girls, British, French and Spanish children by holding an inter-house Olympiad.

Pupils witnessed the NPS Olympic Flame being lit and, after the opening ceremony, the competitors started on a wide range of cerebral challenges.

Pupils at NPS represented one of four houses, Drake, Marlborough, Nelson or Wellington in nine extra-curricular competitions in the morning and 4 sports mini-tournaments in the afternoon. The houses also found a mascot, designed a flag and prepared a song which they performed in the Sports Hall in front of their parents and a tough jury of mums, dads, and staff.

The 2012 winning house for the second year running was Wellington house. Well done to all Olympians involved!
