Mums V Girls netball on Super Saturday at Northbourne Park
On Saturday 3rd December Northbourne Park School will be staging it’s first ever “Super Saturday” – a fun filled day of netball and football tournaments where pupils, staff and parents will get the opportunity to compete against each other.

The day will consist of:
• A triangular netball fixture between the senior girls team, a female staff team and a “Mums” team.
• The annual triangular football fixture between the school 1st XI, a staff team and a “Dads” team.

We are delighted to welcome Henry Olonga our special celebrity guest, who will wow the audience with his fascinating life story and musical talents.

Henry was the youngest ever, and first black cricketer to represent Zimbabwe at international level. In 2003, he and team mate Andy Flower (current England head coach) donned black armbands during a Cricket World Cup match in protest at Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe’s regime.

The gesture was designed to “mourn the death of democracy” in Zimbabwe and it made headlines across the world, turning the international focus on the African country and the plight of its people. Since that day in 2003, Henry has lived in exile in the UK
