The Friends of Northbourne Park School arranged a Zumbathon last week for the whole school community to participate and have fun and to raise funds for the NPS – Kaaso Educational
Partnership.
Chris Hillary from Fitness Frenzi based in Aylesham and some of his team got the party started, enthusing and inspiring us the Zumba way … the music was switched on LOUD and everybody instantly followed the moves and steps. We all followed Chris’ lead and shouts filled and echoed the hall bootcamp chant style.
The sports hall was filled with dancing, smiling faces. We had Nursery children bopping right up to Year 8’s… Staff equally got involved … some dressed in bright pink socks – Well done Mr Riley! Parents came and joined in at the back of the hall – trying to escape being pulled up onto the stage! What a great energetic motivating afternoon.
We raised £172 from this event alone and I’m sure raised everyone’s spirits. What a fabulous way to start the weekend on such a high and lets do it again!
