On Tuesday 10th June 2014, Northbourne Park School’s French Classes (Sixième and Cinquième) visited Dover Castle.
Although many of the children have already visited a French medieval castle, it was the first time that most of them had the opportunity to explore an English one.
The children made the most of their time there, discovering how people lived in the keep in the 13th Century and familiarising themselves with the art of war in the Middle Ages.
Northbourne Park’s Director of Section Française Bilingue, Eve-Marie Castellan said “It was a great opportunity for the French pupils to experience in a real-life context what they had studied this year in their History lessons.”
