20161203 Rowing U18 Quad Scull Race Win in Newark 001Anthony Orr (17), the current Boys Rowing Captain also raced in a Junior U18 Single Scull finishing a very commendable 3rd in a tough event.

James commented, “We were incredibly pleased with the results and it was a great end to a successful term for the squad. It shows much promise for after Christmas, when the club will hope to race at this standard in some more high-profile events.”

Head of Rowing, Marcus Walker commented, “The boys have worked hard to maintain a winning focus right the way through to the end of this term. They were at an off peak point of training for this event so to take the fastest time of the day adds to the growing confidence of the senior squad at present. The competitiveness is growing and Newark is another indicator which demonstrates Oundle School Boat Club’s will to win.”
