For four nights last week and for the first time in 20 years a co-production between the Music and Drama Departments Dauntseys brought Mozart’s sublime opera ‘The Marriage of Figaro’ to sparkling life on the Old Hall Stage.

Beautifully led from the harpsichord played by Ben Gudgeon and with a vibrant new translation by Andrew Brown, this witty and tender production (directed by Fiona Bardsley) showcased the talents of some of the school’s finest young actor-musicians, notably Louise Duff and Freddie Brook as the Count and Countess, and Paddy Hill and Tabitha Bardsley as Figaro and Susanna.
