A motocross rider from Oswestry School has recently won the 2018 Michelin Championship WOR Enduro Series.
Sam Hughes started riding a motocross bike in 2015 by practicing around local tracks and then doing local events.
He competed in the 2018 Michelin Championship WOR Events X Country Enduro Series for 12-13 year olds, winning five 1.5 hour races to clinch the overall championship.
Sam ended the season with victory at Steve Ireland’s 2018 Tough Ones Little Brother, WOR Extremism Enduro event last month at Nantmawr Quarry.
Following on from this, he competed in his first ever Hawkstone Park MX cross country youth race, finishing 5th.
Sam will now take part in the Winter series at junior level.
